The world’s strongest boy. He is currently 24 years old

About 15 years ago, Richard Sandrak, who immigrated from Ukraine to the United States, gained fame as the “strongest boy in the world.” His early journey into fitness and strength training made headlines, capturing the fascination of people worldwide.

Richard’s training started when he was just a young child. Under the guidance of his father, he took exercising seriously at a very young age. By the time he was only 8 years old, Richard could already bench-press more than 30 pounds! As he grew older, his strength only increased. At the age of 11, he could lift an impressive 53 pounds, an astonishing feat for someone so young.

Now, at 24 years old, Richard’s life has taken a different direction. It’s hard to describe him as the intense bodybuilder he once was. Gone are the days when he was known solely for his superhuman strength.

During his childhood, Richard earned the nickname “Little Hercules.” This title brought him widespread attention. He was constantly invited to appear at competitions, on television shows, in commercials, and even in movies. His rising fame prompted Richard’s family to move to California, where he could have more opportunities to grow his career. His young life became focused on realizing his potential in the spotlight.

Richard’s father, who was a former world champion in martial arts, played a key role in managing every aspect of his son’s training. He oversaw Richard’s rigorous fitness regimen, his strict nutrition plan, and his daily routine. However, his father’s control over his life was not without controversy. Many people began criticizing the father for pushing Richard too hard and for putting excessive pressure on such a young boy. Some even accused him of exploiting his son for fame and fortune.

When Richard was 11 years old, things took a dramatic turn. After an incident where his father assaulted his mother, Richard called the police. His father was arrested and jailed for domestic violence. This event caused a rift between Richard and his father. After the arrest, Richard completely cut off contact with him and refused to acknowledge his father from that point forward.

For a while, Richard continued to pursue his passion for bodybuilding and fitness, but over time, his dedication began to wane. Gradually, he moved away from the rigorous lifestyle that once defined him.

Looking back on his younger years, Richard reflects positively on his achievements. He proudly says, “I am very proud of my accomplishments as a child. I am not ashamed of them, and I don’t try to hide that part of my life from anyone.” However, he has also made it clear that he no longer wants to live that way. He added, “I just don’t want to live like that anymore. They tried to make me seem like some kind of freak of nature.”

Nowadays, Richard maintains a more balanced approach to fitness. He still exercises regularly but without the intensity of his early years. He enjoys running every morning and has taken up skateboarding as a hobby. Professionally, Richard works as a stuntman in the “Waterworld” show in Los Angeles. His job is physically demanding, requiring him to be set on fire multiple times a day before diving from great heights into water.

Interestingly, when asked about his future goals, Richard’s answer surprised many people. Despite his background in fitness and strength, his aspirations were far from the world of bodybuilding. He shared, “I want to be a scientist, doing quantum physics… or maybe an engineer at NASA. Why not?”
